We'll meet and greet you warmly at our Cave Club headquarters in Temnica, offering an enlightening introduction to the distinctive landforms and features of the Karst region. Before our hiking adventure begins, you'll have the chance to explore our carefully curated mini museum, which showcases tangible artifacts from the First World War, unearthed during our many cave explorations over the years. As we embark on a two-hour hike across the Karst landscape, we'll journey into three unique caves that served as shelters during WW1. Along our path, we'll pause for scenic views, sightseeing and indulge in exquisite culinary delights in truly unique settings. Our circular journey will come full circle, concluding in Temnica.
We strongly recommend that you wear suitable walking shoes and be appropriately (sporty) dressed. Inside the caves the temperature can drop to around 8 degrees.
This host Franc Bizjak is helped to manage her activities by our Local Scout Tadej Rogelja who will be your reference for all the booking process and will assist you during your experience.
